The SOLID BRASS ensemble has performed to rave reviews for more than 500,000 people since 1982 in venues throughout North America, including premiere concert halls such as Alice Tully Hall in New York City and the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles. In addition to tours across the United States, SOLID BRASS has visited Mexico and Canada twice. SOLID BRASS concerts have also been broadcast live on WQXR, New York City and WQED, Pittsburgh, and a half hour Christmas special was broadcast on PBS-TV's "The State of the Arts" on the East Coast.
Here are some reviews:
Musical arrangements are published by Art of Sound Music of Princeton, NJ in the SOLID BRASS SERIES. Most of the music is playable by a brass quintet, and additional parts are included to enable performances of the original instrumentation (four trumpets, horn, four trombones, tuba, and percussion) as recorded by Solid Brass. Also included are parts for alternate horn (substitute trombone) and euphonium (treble clef). There are enough parts that you can create your own version of the arrangement for your particular needs and instrumentation.
